Ok guys and gals...put your thinking caps on, and bail me out!

I have installed on my computer a tool bar called Cash Toolbar. I think the
whole name for the
program is Browser Aid Cash Toolbar.

I have tried in vain to get rid of it. The usual steps..."remove programs",
deleting the file the usual
way from my program files. I keep getting the message "cannot be deleted."
Apparently some ot
the dll files are common, and I'm not that versed on what all that means.

If anyone can help me, I would be most grateful!

Thanks.

Have you tried using ad-aware to remove it?

1. If the dll files are "common" then other programs also use them.
So you can't delete those particular DLL without breaking another
program, or Windows itself.

2. I don't know which Microsoft operating system you are running, but
Windows 2000 and Windows XP can write-protect files if your disk is
formatted using NTFS. You would need to right-click on the file,
choose Properties, and go into the Security tab to change its
permissions so that you could delete it.

I don't use Windows so I've no experience with this particular program,
but I've seen others suggest re-installing a program when you have
trouble getting rid of it. Once you've re-installed, apparently
sometimes "remove programs" program will work.
